We are creating a new role within Pensions Digital to help us measure and report on how members use our digital pension experiences. We are looking for a motivated and curious Digital Data Analyst to support the team by tracking online behaviour, measuring engagement, and supporting continuous improvement of our digital platforms.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting tagging and measurement of digital journeys (training provided) to understand how members use our platforms.
  • Helping to gather, review and analyse data to produce clear insights for the business.
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports, primarily using GA4 and Power BI (with support from the existing analyst).
  • Working alongside the digital design team and product owners to understand data needs, user journeys and reporting goals for our new pension platform.
  • Helping to identify what data is needed to support personalisation and improved member experiences.
  • Contributing to testing work during development phases by reviewing early data trends and validating that solutions meet expected outcomes.
  • Monitoring live performance once features are launched, spotting issues early and supporting improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team to understand and achieve the critical digital outcomes.
  • Work on the existing PowerBI platform bringing in new data and producing new pages and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify the digital data required to measure progress against the outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Product and UX teams to ensure the data is tagged correctly and identify gaps.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure customer insights are incorporated into designed experiences and forming a compelling story around it.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Improve the process of digital analytics with creative analytics solutions.
  • Work with the data architecture team in maintaining data integrity.
  • Evaluate site performance and analyse web analytics.
  • Develop reporting structure for marketing channels.
  • Develop and evolve the reporting suite that keeps stakeholders up to date with progress.
  • Use SEO insight and trends to improve performance where necessary.
  • Share knowledge to support others.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in web analytics and knowledge of the digital ecosystem, especially using Microsoft technology or the ability to learn.
  • Experience working with pensions data.
  • Understanding of the use of data to personalise journeys for the customer and ability to ensure the correct data is tagged to drive the agreed outcomes.
  • Understanding of performance marketing channels.
  • Search Engine Optimisation - Understanding of site performance and search criteria. Ability to identify solutions to SEO challenges and strive towards an enhanced solution.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical concepts and experience in A/B testing hypothesis.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in digital, data analysis and data visualisation.
  • You must be analytical and be comfortable reviewing data to identify challenges in journeys and recommend solutions. You must be able to clearly articulate issues and work with IT on solutions for compelling journey improvement.
