We are seeking a Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer to join our 24/7 Technology Operations Command Centre operation based at Hill View House, Newtownabbey. This is a hands-on, shift-based role operating in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, responsible for the monitoring, diagnosis, and resolution of network incidents across a diverse, mission-critical customer estate.
Working Pattern:
- 24/7 shift-based role (days and nights)
- Typical pattern: 4 on / 4 off
- Day shifts: 07:00-19:00
- Night shifts: 19:00-07:00
What we are looking for:
- Experience working as a Network Engineer in an enterprise or service provider environment is desirable
- Ideally an understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, AWS)
- Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and ticketing systems (e.g. SolarWinds, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy)
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification is desirable but not essential (CCNP, JNCIA advantageous)
- Eligible to obtain Security Clearance
Based onsite within our brand new Technology Operations Command Centre, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of complex network and systems environments, working closely with internal engineering teams and third-party suppliers.
Proactively monitor network performance, capacity, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network faults across LAN, WAN, SDWAN and telecoms services while minimising service impact. Perform routine network health checks and preventative maintenance activities, deploying patches, firmware updates, and minor configuration changes as required. Produce clear incident reports, shift handovers, and technical documentation.
