You will use your professional and technical skills to deliver statutory building control functions on a wide range of projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and sustainability. We are also preparing to meet the requirements of the new Building Safety Regime.

What you will be doing:

  • Participating in external contract, growth, and resilience work.
  • Delivering all building control functions, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, and site inspections.
  • Making decisions on applications and notices under relevant building legislation.
  • Liaising with partner agencies and authorities.
  • Upselling building control and related services.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in building control inspection, surveying, design, project management, or similar, preferably within local government or a building control body.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, guidance, and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with building regulation applications.
  • Understanding of building control software systems.
  • Ability to work in accordance with quality management standards and performance policies.
