As a Military Service Check Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the verification process for candidates who have previously served in the Armed Forces. This is a vital position ensuring accurate checks and smooth progression for applicants rejoining the Army.

You will join an established team and contribute to maintaining high standards of compliance and stakeholder engagement throughout the recruitment process.

  • Full-time, fixed term role (12 months): 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working: split between home and our Upavon, Wiltshire office
  • Initial training: first 4 weeks based on-site in Upavon, Monday to Thursday
  • Induction: you will also be required to attend an in-person, 1.5 day, induction at our offices in Bovington

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing applications from individuals with prior military service, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records
  • Checking information across multiple platforms, including JPA (Joint Personnel Administration) and other verification systems
  • Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal Capita teams and senior military personnel such as Captains and Majors
  • Handling queries confidently and professionally, often in challenging situations
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating systems, including Excel spreadsheets
  • Supporting continuous improvement by sharing ideas and identifying process enhancements.

Essential

  • IT literate, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to navigate complex systems
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence when engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilient under pressure and committed to delivering a high standard of service.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to contribute to process improvements.

Desirable

  • Experience with JPA or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of military policies or prior service experience
  • Competent in using Excel formulas for data analysis and reporting
