Location: Home-based (occasional ad hoc travel for training)

Clearance: Must be SC cleared or able to obtain SC

We are seeking an experienced Software Compliance Analyst who can immediately add value by managing complex software licensing requirements and supporting licence compliance across Capita and its Clients. This is a key role focused on ensuring compliance, reducing financial risk, and identifying meaningful cost-optimisation opportunities.

Essential Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering accurate, effective licence reconciliations
  • Strong working knowledge of complex licensing for at least one major Tier-1 vendor (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP) - ideally covering multiple
  • Proven experience with end-to-end major vendor audit processes
  • Ability to "hit the ground running" - this role requires someone already experienced in hands-on licensing compliance
  • Understanding of modern/emerging technologies and associated licensing implications
  • Comfortable working alongside technical teams (Architects, Analysts, Consultants)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to simplify complex licensing topics
  • SC Cleared or eligible to gain SC clearance
  • IT background with experience in IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management environments

Desired Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with SAM tooling, ideally Snow or Flexera
  • Understanding of EUC, infrastructure and cloud technology domains
  • Ability to articulate complex licence positions in a clear, concise manner
  • IAITAM or any SAM equivalent certifications

You'll join our growing ITAM function at a pivotal time - stepping into an environment with high visibility, significant client demand, and the opportunity to shape best practice.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring accurate reporting of vendor compliance
  • Developing optimized vendor licence positions
  • Working with Data Analysts to correctly identify software products that have been discovered on the hardware estate
  • Identify opportunities to reduce licensing costs across all of Capita & Clients to achieve cost savings
  • Process Proof of Entitlement to manually match to applications, where automatic reconciliation is not possible
  • Reviewing / importing new purchase information from third party systems
  • Developing and improving SAM lifecycle processes
  • Qualifying and verifying all data sources required for SAM processing
  • Analysis of market changes and assessing impact on vendor licensing
