Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster. Performing as an operator in simulated warfare games, your job is to play the role of the pilot for several aircraft at a time in Royal Navy simulated games, hunting submarines or enemy ships. Acting just like a pilot would, talking to controllers passing and receiving information whilst inputting information into the computer-based simulator to turn the aircraft and change its altitude.
This role is based on 28 hours a week and can be worked over 4 or 5 days.
What you will be doing:
- Acting as a pseudo pilot, operating complex simulator games as per the requirements of the Royal Navy training curriculum.
- Supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the simulator applicable training equipment and aids.
- Ensure all training equipment is correctly prepared for use and for storage post use.
- Collecting and disseminating the data from each simulator.
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software); this role would suit a keen gamer.
- Experience of working in a dynamic environment.
- Experience within the Maritime Aviation Sector Military/Civilian would be an advantage.
- Experience of aircraft or fighter control within the MOD environment would be desirable.
- Must be able to be cleared to UK SC level.
