Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis at HMS Raleigh. Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
The LDO Hub Manager plays a key leadership role within the Royal Navy's Learning and Development Organisation, leading high quality learning services across the hub/region. Working closely with regional colleagues and Royal Navy stakeholders, you will provide visible, inspirational leadership, champion continuous improvement and digital innovation, and create a positive learning culture. You will also support UK Service Personnel throughout their careers and transition into civilian life, helping deliver impactful learning that drives progression and excellent outcomes. Additionally, you will act as the local and regional lead for neurodiversity and SpLD support.
The role ensures that all learners, particularly neurodivergent individuals and those with Specific Learning Differences, are fully supported throughout their learning journey and service careers.
What you will be doing:
- Provide visible, effective leadership to ensure high quality LDO Hub service delivery.
- Line manage LDO Hub staff, applying Capita policies, procedures and values consistently.
- Maintain leadership, behavioural and technical capability aligned to Capita Career Path Framework (Level 3).
- Champion Health & Safety compliance, including risk assessments and audits.
- Deliver through life learning, development and resettlement advice to Service Personnel.
- Promote LDO Hub services and collaborate across the wider LDO community (in person and digital).
- Act as the Hub and regional subject matter expert for neurodiversity and Specific Learning Differences.
- Lead and coordinate ND/SpLD support services in line with national LDO and Royal Navy policy.
What we are looking for:
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Previous experience of leading/managing a team.
- Hold, or be willing to work towards, a SpLD qualification at RQF Level 5 / SCQF Level 8 or above, including appropriate practising certification.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Holds a Level 3 or above qualification in education and teaching; learning and development or coaching.
- Holds or be willing to work towards a L5 SpLD / Neurodiversity support qualification.
- Holds a higher-level leadership and/or management qualification.
- Awareness of organisations supporting ex-Service Personnel.

This role is offered on a term time basis working 44 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 4 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata'd and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
