Full-time, 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Thursday) on a Term Time Only basis at HMS Collingwood. Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Help deliver the next generation of Royal Navy Weapons Engineers. Join Selborne - a £1bn, 12-year transformation programme - and play a direct role in getting better trained personnel to the front line faster. This role allows you to use your communications engineering expertise to shape real operational capability. You will join a mission-driven team shaping the future of Royal Navy training, using modern technology and simulation to prepare the next generation of operators. This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering hands-on training in Royal Navy communications systems maintenance, repair and fault diagnosis.
- Delivering high quality and engaging lessons up to degree/post graduate degree or equivalent level and deploying knowledge and experience across multiple areas.
- Teaching RF system principles on Phase 3 Weapons Engineering courses.
- Using performance data to improve training delivery and learner outcomes.
- Collaborating across the Weapons Engineering training team to deliver high quality instruction.
- Meeting or exceeding KPIs/SLA standards across simulated and synthetic learning environments.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Experience in communications systems, maintenance & fault diagnosis.
- Foundation Degree in Engineering (FdEng) OR equivalent military/industry engineering qualification.
Desirable:
- Level 3 teaching certificate or equivalent (will be enrolled on an internal training course if not held).
- Maintenance & fault finding on Military engineering communication systems or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Royal Navy Weapons Engineering departmental workings or equivalent experience.
