We’re looking for an Apprenticeship Programme Facilitator to support apprentices at HMS Sultan.
You’ll work closely with learners, training teams and key stakeholders to ensure apprentices receive the support they need to progress successfully through their Engineering apprenticeships within the general service branch of the Royal Navy.
This is a varied role where you’ll coordinate programme activities, monitor learner progress, provide guidance and support, and help maintain high-quality apprenticeship delivery.
Working across a range of disciplines, you’ll play an important role in helping apprentices achieve their qualifications and develop their careers within the Royal Navy.
- Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
- What you’ll be doing
- Support engineering apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from enrolment and induction through to successful completion.
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing regular progress reviews, guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Build positive relationships with apprentices, training teams and stakeholders to ensure a high-quality learner experience.
- Complete programme administration, learner records and funding documentation, ensuring compliance with apprenticeship requirements.
- Visit training establishments and operational sites, including ships and naval units, to support apprentices in their workplace environment.
- Identify apprentices who need additional support and help them gather the evidence, skills and experience required to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
- What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Engineering qualification and/or relevant industry experience
- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
- Good IT and administrative skills, across a wide variety of systems
- Ability to manage a high demand workload and prioritise effectively in time-bound situations.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Holds a minimum level 3 teaching qualification
- Holds Assessor Qualifications (D32/33, A1/2/ TAQA or equivalent) - Can be gained within initial employment.
- Knowledge of Apprenticeships and accredited courses.
