BMI Healthcare’s Clementine Churchill Hospital in London has a vacancy for an ITU Manager to join their team of staff within the ITU Department.
This post is for 37.5 hours per week.
Duties of this role include:
- To co-ordinate and manage the provision of Intensive Therapy Unit services in London Independent Hospital
- To provide management support to the hospital’s Pathology Coordinators
- To ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory and best practice frameworks
- To liaise with the regional reps, steering groups (and commercial managers) as appropriate
- To take an active role in supporting the local implementation of national developments
- To provide feedback and information when requested on various national initiatives.
Qualifications
It is essential that applicants have the following:
- Registered Nurse Adult
- Strong post-registration experience within an Intensive Therapy Unit
- Experience working as a Sister / Team Lead within an Intensive Therapy Unit
- Knowledge and understanding of Nursing & Midwifery Council’s ‘The Code – Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nurses and Midwives’
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to hospital and department
- Able to demonstrate good organisational and planning skills, including risk management
- Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and team leadership experience/strategy
- Financial awareness and knowledge of appropriate measures to control costs
