An award-winning law firm with a strong presence across Yorkshire is seeking an experienced and ambitious lawyer to take on the role of Deputy Head within its established New Build team.
The firm has seen significant growth in recent years and has been recognised with multiple industry awards over the last five years. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership position within a highly regarded and forward-thinking practice.
The Role
Working closely with the Head of Department, you will play a key role in shaping the team’s strategy, supporting growth plans, and ensuring high standards of client service. The role combines leadership and management responsibilities with maintaining a reduced, manageable caseload.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the development and delivery of the department’s strategic vision.
- Supporting, mentoring, and training junior lawyers and support staff.
- Playing an active role in business development and maintaining key client relationships.
- Managing a small, high-quality caseload of new build matters.
- Deputising for the Head of Department as required.
About You
- A qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer or CILEX with strong experience in new build
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Commercially aware, with an aptitude for business development and building strong client relationships.
- Organised, strategic, and confident in decision-making.
