About the Role

We are seeking a talented and driven Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join a dynamic and well-regarded team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in dispute resolution to handle a varied and high-quality caseload of commercial disputes for a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to large corporates.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a broad caseload of commercial litigation matters including:
• Contract disputes
• Shareholder and partnership disputes
• Professional negligence claims
• Debt recovery and enforcement
• Injunctions and interim relief
• Advising clients from initial instruction through to resolution, including trial or settlement.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other court documents.
• Instructing counsel and attending court hearings.
• Supporting senior team members on more complex disputes as required.
• Contributing to business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (ideally 2–6 years’ PQE, though all levels considered based on experience).
• Proven experience in handling a range of commercial litigation matters.
• Strong technical knowledge and sound commercial judgment.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
• Commercially aware with an interest in business development.

Desirable

• Previous experience working within a regional or national law firm.
• Exposure to alternative dispute resolution (e.g., mediation, arbitration).
• Experience with cross-border disputes or international clients is a plus.
