Capilon Hotels is a privately owned hotel management company with a passion for exceptional hospitality. We purchase, redevelop and operate boutique hotels in central London. We care about what we do and aim to deliver exceptional service to our guests. And we look after our teams. Many of our team members have been with us since the very beginning, and that loyalty says everything about who we are.

About The Job:

This is a key commercial role at the heart of our business. You will own pricing and revenue performance across all our hotels, pushing for the best possible rates and RevPAR every day. You will also make sure our reservations are handled properly, from cancellations and no shows to group bookings. Working with our Revenue Consultant and reporting to our COO, you will use our RMS and the data behind it to make smart, quick decisions that grow revenue and market share.

A Day in the Life:

Your day starts with the numbers: overnight bookings and cancellations, pick up, and how each hotel is pacing against the market. From there you will adjust rates, steer the system through busy and quiet periods, check our OTA channels are showing the right rates, and work with our reception teams to make the most of every night. One day you might be quoting a group. The next you might be with a hotel team tightening how cancellations are charged, or presenting the monthly numbers to the Directors.

  • Own pricing and inventory across all hotels using our RMS, driving ADR, occupancy and RevPAR
  • Review bookings, cancellations and pick up daily, acting quickly on rate errors, connectivity issues or unusual booking patterns
  • Grow our market share against the competitive set, using STR and OTA market data - Manage distribution across all channels, including rate parity, content, promotions, while growing direct business
  • Optomise RMS, PMS and Channel Manager
  • Set reservations standards with our GOM and COO, making sure cancellation and no show charges, prepaid bookings and group terms are applied and collected consistently
  • Assess, price and follow up group enquiries to protect yield on high demand dates
  • Produce forecasts, contribute to annual budgets and compile clear weekly and monthly reports for the Directors and hotel owners
  • Train and guide reception teams on upselling, room allocation and reservations best practice
  • Set up rates, channels and the RMS for new hotels as we grow

What we are looking for:

A commercially sharp reservations and revenue manager who loves data but never loses sight of the guest or the hotel. You will be hands on and comfortable owning pricing decisions, and confident enough to push rates when the demand is there. You will be as comfortable alongside our reception teams in a hotel as you are in a spreadsheet. We are open to full time or part time for the right person.

  • At least two to three years in hotel reservations and revenue management, ideally across more than one hotel
  • Hands on experience with an RMS and a cloud based PMS, including rate plans, room types and channel mapping
  • Strong knowledge of channel managers and OTA extranets
  • Good understanding of STR, competitive sets and the KPIs

Skills & Qualities:

  • Highly analytical, with advanced Excel skills
  • Commercially confident, with a sharp eye for detail: you will catch the rate error before it costs us
  • A clear communicator, able to explain the numbers to Directors, hotel owners and reception teams alike
  • Organised, self motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Experience with Atomize, Mews and SiteMinder preferred; Power BI an advantage
  • Knowledge of the central London hotel market an advantage

We look after our people. Here is what you can expect when you join the Capilon family:

  • Clothing allowance
  • Private Health Insurance
  • Private Dental, Optical & Audiological Cover
  • Discounted hotel room rates for you, friends & family
  • Perkbox: discounts across hundreds of retailers, travel, dining and more
  • Discounted Gym Membership
  • Enhanced Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Access to a Wellness Programme
  • Recommend a Friend referral bonus
  • Staff events, parties and presents
  • Company Pension
  • Opportunity to shape a growing hotel group
