R&D Manager – Aerospace Engineering ✈️

Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace engineering and MRO sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced R&D Manager to lead their Research & Development workshop. This is an exciting opportunity to drive operational efficiency, lead innovative projects, and enhance services for both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support for the R&D team, including performance management and development.
  • Supervise workshop teams, ensuring all activities align with business objectives.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor project costs, budgets, and timelines.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by implementing new systems and procedures.
  • Foster collaboration between R&D and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee and manage R&D claims, working with external partners for accurate submissions.

What They're Looking For

  • Experience in the aerospace engineering/MRO sector.
  • Proven leadership in managing engineering teams, with a focus on performance optimisation.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, with support available from senior HR colleagues.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage workloads, budgets, and project timelines effectively.
  • A-Level or equivalent qualification, with at least 2 years’ experience in an aerospace engineering workshop or similar environment.
