As a Workday Function Lead Consultant, you will have experience in the delivery of Workday HCM projects and a strong knowledge of the policies and processes that drive best‑practice design and configuration across Workday, as well as the Workday deployment methodologies. You will also have a solid grasp of cross‑functional interdependencies and experience working with clients to address challenges. You’ll be comfortable leading a small functional team or working independently as part of a larger project team, collaborating with functional, technical and data teams consisting of UK‑based and international members, and linking into a wider programme and account team.

Hybrid Working
The places you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs and those of the business; it will be a blend of company offices, client sites and your home. You will not be able to work from home 100% of the time.
Your Role
You’ll lead and work with clients at all levels, advising them on the best solutions using Workday to meet their requirements. Responsibilities include:
- Process and solution design based on best‑practice Workday functionality.
- Advising and influencing decisions of key business stakeholders.
- Leading and undertaking Workday configuration, including defect fixing during testing activities.
- Ensuring integration to other functional areas and applications in the technology landscape.
- Contributing to Capgemini’s Workday delivery initiatives and extending expertise within the Workday Practice and wider Capgemini.
Your Skills And Experience
- The ability to drive the Workday functional design, leading customers to make hard decisions.
- Good knowledge of end‑to‑end HR processes, including UK and international statutory requirements.
- In‑depth knowledge of the data requirements for Workday HCM and the ability to advise the client on the needs.
- Knowledge of the Workday capabilities and the product roadmap, with a high focus on AI developments.
- A strong “can‑do” attitude and willingness to share knowledge with, learn from, and collaborate with peers.
- Current Workday certifications in Workday HCM and at least one other functional area.
- Strong consulting skills – demonstrable presentation and client‑facing skills; must be assertive and articulate with the ability to sustain, develop and grow existing customer relationships.
- Experience working within an on‑shore, near‑shore, off‑shore model.
Your Security Clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions; if you have resided outside the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
