We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in the Bank and Finance Domain who will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Hands-on Solution Architect with strong expertise in Kafka, Confluent Kafka, MongoDB, AWS, APIs, and Operational Data Stores (ODS) able to operate confidently across both high-level architecture and low-level design and implementation.
- Must bring immediate productivity with no learning curve; prior demonstrable experience designing and delivering solutions in streaming and ODS environments is essential.
- Expected to design, build, and validate end-to-end solutions, not just provide architectural oversight.
- Able to drive PoCs, prototypes, solution demos, and hands-on technical spikes ensuring architecture decisions are validated in practice.
- Comfortable switching between conceptual architecture, detailed solution design, and implementation guidance for engineering teams.
- Contribute to and support architecture governance processes, architectural distribution reviews, standards compliance, approval board submissions, adherence to patterns and guardrails.
- Ensure decisions align with organisational guidelines and help uphold the architectural integrity of the corporate streaming ODS pillar.
- Strong communicator who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners due to the high visibility of the role within the bank.
- Expected to operate autonomously, managing expectations, articulating design rationale, and ensuring alignment across teams.
Your Skills:
- Experience: 10 years as Solution Architect.
- Experience: 5 years in Kafka Confluent.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
