Role OverviewSenior Automation Engineer – SAP Applications (Capgemini) – Remote/UK.
Responsibilities
Design and implement effective automation test strategies and plans for SAP applications and integrations.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks for SAP using Tricentis TOSCA tool.
Manage and mentor a team of automation engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment and enhancing team performance.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other team members to integrate automation assets into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as TOSCA Server and Jenkins.
Maintain version control of test automation assets in code repositories (e.g., GIT).
Ensure proper defect management processes and adherence to test life cycles for automated testing.
Manage Test Management tools, particularly Tricentis qTest, keeping testing on track as per project plan.
Lead automation testing and produce necessary documentation and reports for various testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and report into the Test Manager.
Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, providing guidance and expertise in SAP test automation.
Qualifications
Good experience leading SAP End‐to‐End automation testing (internal to SAP and externally to non‐SAP systems).
Proficiency with Tricentis Tosca automation tool.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automation assets with tools such as TOSCA Server.
Familiarity with test management tools like qTest; ability to produce reports for stakeholders.
Strong problem‐solving skills, attention to detail, and experience mentoring team members.
Knowledge of test life cycles, defect management processes, risk/issue identification, and test reporting/metrics.
ISTQB/ISEB certification in software testing (Foundation level or above) or willingness to obtain one.
Flexibility to travel and work at various locations during the project.
Must be a UK national and qualified for Security Clearance (SC); requirement of continuous UK residency for the last 5 years.
Nice to Have
Tricentis TOSCA Automation Engineer Level 1 or 2 certifications.
Experience with accessibility or usability testing.
Knowledge of SAP testing methodologies such as iCaptivate and TMAP.
Knowledge of the Nuclear Power Industry.
