Overview
The SAP Tester will be responsible for creating, maintaining and executing automated tests across SAP processes. This role requires hands-on testing experience, confidence with automation tools, and the ability to work independently within agile delivery teams.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated regression test scripts for SAP processes using Tricentis Tosca under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in producing automated field‑masking tests using Playwright, following established patterns and standards.
- Work closely with senior engineers and leads to help troubleshoot technical issues and resolve blockers.
- Support the creation and maintenance of reusable automation test‑data patterns.
- Log defects accurately in Jira and retest fixes once resolved.
- Provide status updates during daily stand‑ups and sprint ceremonies.
Required Skills
- Practical experience in Tricentis Tosca (AS1 and AS2 completed or working towards completion).
- Basic understanding of SAP or other major ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
- Familiarity with Jira for defect logging and tracking.
- Experience working in or exposure to agile, sprint‑based delivery teams.
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with senior team members.
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical and logical approach to problem‑solving.
- Confident, proactive, and able to manage assigned tasks independently with support when needed.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Playwright + JavaScript.
- Familiarity with VSCode.
- Interest in expanding automation skills across frameworks and tools.
