We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of features for the digitalisation of a benefit line on the account. Experience with Java Spring Boot microservices, MongoDB, and Node JS frontend services is required.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).
Your role:
- Design, develop, and execute Java and BDD test scenarios.
- Document test cases, scenarios, and results.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve defects.
- Support requirement capture and provide testing guidance.
- Test Java Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Test JS Node frontend services.
- Use Cucumber and Selenium for BDD testing.
- Conduct unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Document test plans and results.
- Work with MongoDB and NoSQL databases.
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines.
- Understand JWTs for data security.
- Perform accessibility, performance, and security testing.
- Use Docker and Maven for testing.
- Follow web standards and GOV.UK design system.

Your skills and experience:
- Proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot 3, AWS, MongoDB.
- Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, RestAssured.
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Gitlab and Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an agile team.
