The Product Writer – Insurance Tester is responsible for validating and assuring the quality of insurance product configurations, rating engines, and product models built using Product Writer, RTE, XRTE, and related tools. The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home, noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Test ProductWriter dictionaries, skeleton schemes, and structure configurations.
  • Validate RTE/XRTE rating models, rating tables, formulas, factors, and rating logic.
  • Ensure correct mapping of product definitions and consistency with business requirements.
  • Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data for functional coverage.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA.
  • Monitor testing progress and provide status reports.
  • Collaborate with BA and development teams during requirement analysis.
  • Ensure insurance products meet accuracy, consistency, and compliance standards.
  • Identify risks, gaps, or product discrepancies early in the cycle.

Your Skills:

  • Experience with ProductWriter dictionary, skeleton schemes, RTE/XRTE, and rating engine validation.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance rating, product modelling, and premium calculation workflows.
  • Strong command over Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and Sanity Testing.
  • Ability to design and execute test scenarios and detailed test cases for complex product builds.
  • Experience using JIRA for test management and defect lifecycle tracking.

Preferred skills (Not mandatory):

  • Use Selenium and Java for automating regression scenarios where applicable.
  • Contribute to automation scripts, frameworks, and execution.
