Your role
Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Digital Engineering Consultant who has deep expertise in digital engineering platforms, specifically Siemens NX and Teamcenter, and the ability to not just implement tools, but to strategically configure and deploy them in ways that fundamentally transform engineering workflows. This role demands more than technical proficiency—it requires a consultant who can objectively design, lead, and deliver work packages that demonstrate how advanced digital engineering tools can dramatically accelerate product development while generating measurable business outcomes.
In this role you will play a key role in:

- Delivering solutions that accelerate how clients engineer their products across the full value stream
Your profile
You will join a growing team of experts working on high-profile projects within the defence sector. You will use creative problem‑solving skills to formulate, develop and deliver design engineering solutions.
Consulting Skills:
- Strategic project planning and change management expertise
- Client relationship, stakeholder management and alignment
- Business value assessment and articulation
- Cross‑functional communication, work package development and leadership
- Solution design and implementation strategy
- Consulting methodology proficiency
Technical/Engineering Skills:
- Mechanical design engineering experience and advanced Siemens NX CAD software expertise
- Product lifecycle management (PLM) tools knowledge (Teamcenter)
- 3D modelling and simulation capabilities
- Digital engineering transformation techniques
- Understanding of systems integration and technical configuration of engineering tools
- Performance optimization of design processes and data management and digital thread implementation
- Advanced engineering workflow design
Integrated/Crossover Skills:
- Technical consulting approach, ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
- Understanding of digital transformation methodologies, digital tool configuration and customization
- Performance metrics development
- Technical solution selling, engineering process re‑engineering
- Technical presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience working across Engineering and Manufacturing including NX, TC, ERP, MES
Preferred Industry Experience:
- Defence sector engineering, advanced manufacturing, aerospace
