Responsibilities
- You’ll turn your hand to a variety of challenges in the areas of big data, insights and analytics before deciding on which specialism you are best suited to.
- You’ll acquire data, help organisations to use it and analyse it on their behalf – turning it into valuable information, which informs business decisions.
- You’ll take on creative visualisation projects, creating dashboards and reports that will ultimately influence senior management decisions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and a real passion for IT and technology OR a technical degree with a keen interest in IT with capacity to work and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- A basic understanding of SQL, with an understanding of Python, GIT, Docker, Big data, statistical analysis. Cloud technologies or databases would be advantageous but not essential.
Security Clearance
Security Check (SC) Clearance – To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process. Note: You will have lived in the UK for the last five years with no more than 28 days out of the country (in order to meet security clearance requirements). You may be required to work away from home during the week after the initial training period.
