The Digital Operating Model team is part of Capgemini Invent’s growing Business Technology practice, one of the leading CIO & CTO advisory and technology innovation teams in the UK and Europe. Our high calibre management consultants deliver profitable outcomes in business and IT‑oriented environments, working collaboratively with major FTSE 100 and Government clients to help them achieve their strategic goals and further enhance the delivery of business value from the IT estate.
We are looking for talented individuals to join the team, and to support our clients to make the best choices about their digital operating models as well as get the best advice to make these come to life. In this role you will play a key role in:
- Shaping and influencing operating model choices made by some of the largest Private and Public Sector organisations in the UK.
- Advising C‑suite and senior leadership teams on unlocking value from IT and technology investments, embedding AI and Agentic AI in their IT operating models in a controlled way, creating new collaboration opportunities between Business and IT, and driving efficiencies and cost savings.
- Challenging status quo and perceived barriers, and leveraging your past experiences with similar clients and industries.
- Leading and coaching teams of Digital operating model practitioners to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile:
- Experience delivering strategic digital technology advisory engagements and building trusting relationships with CIOs, CTOs and their leadership teams.
- Experience working in complex FTSE100 environments and large Government organisations.
- Experience designing digital, product‑led operating and/or Agentic AI‑driven operating models across the core dimensions of an operating model (i.e. leadership and culture, processes and tooling, organisational structure, accountability and decision‑making, performance management).
- Experience of using AI tooling to enhance delivery of digital operating model design projects, while tailoring solutions to client objectives.
- Experience of delivering an end‑to‑end digital operating model design project, incl. AS‑IS assessment, options development, high level and detailed design, evidence‑based business‑cases and transition roadmaps.
- Good knowledge of digital technology industry trends, including but not limited to: AI, Agentic AI, Agile at Scale, DevSecOps delivery, journey‑to‑cloud, edge computing, low code/no‑code solution development, etc.
Preferred but optional:
- ITIL foundations or higher.
- Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
- Experience of proposition building and delivery.
