Capgemini Financial Services is seeking a talented and experienced AWS Architect in Knutsford for a full‑time hybrid role.
Your Role
- Design and implement large-scale distributed systems with a focus on resiliency, scalability, and observability.
- Define cloud-native strategies and architectures for enterprise applications; collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Create technical design specifications, reference architectures and reusable patterns.
- Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automation across teams.
- Lead and mentor teams in Agile delivery models and ensure alignment with enterprise standards lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, Containers – EKS, Docker, Kubernetes) and Databases with strong expertise in PostgreSQL plus experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
- Infrastructure as Code; hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, micro-services, containers and deep knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and exploit containerized solutions.
- DevOps Tools: Jenkins, GitLab and integration with various CI/CD tools.
- Application Design: API-first and event-driven architectures and prior hands-on experience with the Kafka ecosystem.
- Observability Monitoring: Familiarity with tools for logging, metrics and tracing, especially ELK and observability tools.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of data modelling best practices and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
- Ability to own and drive projects end-to-end in an Agile environment.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with ecosystem and platforms for faster onboarding.
- Understanding of financial services domain, especially credit cards.
- Knowledge of TOGAF principles and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Associate (preferred).
