We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with strong expertise in data management and banking & capital markets. The role involves working closely with business and technology teams to deliver data-driven solutions for trading, risk, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within the banking and financial services sector.
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Work with business and technology teams to define data‐driven solutions for banking and capital markets.
- Gather, analyse, and document requirements for trading, risk, regulatory, and operational processes.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, including user stories and logical designs.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
- Develop BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and data models to support solution delivery.
- Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation for regulatory reporting and system enhancements.
- Liaise between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with product owners, data engineers, QA, and project managers to ensure successful solution rollout.
Your Skills:
- Strong understanding of banking and capital markets across key data domains (Instrument, Party, Product, Trade, Reference Data).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements, especially in EMEA.
- Expertise in requirement gathering, documentation, stakeholder interaction, and Agile delivery.
- Ability to create high‐quality BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, data modelling, ETL concepts, and data governance.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and cloud platforms like Azure.
- Added advantage: experience with Data Factory, Databricks, and banking risk/trade platforms (Murex, Calypso).
