YOUR ROLE
- The role involves defining reliability standards to ensure high availability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
- Setting Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Indicators (SLIs) for API latency, uptime, and error rates.
- Designing observability frameworks with logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Planning strategies for resilience and scalability such as circuit breakers, retries, and load balancing.
- Automating reliability practices through CI/CD pipelines, chaos testing, and failover mechanisms.
YOUR PROFILE
- Design, implement and maintain reliable and scalable systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability best practices into the software lifecycle.
- Implement and maintain observability solutions for proactive monitoring and alerting.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Hands-on experience in creating dashboards, alarms, and metrics for AWS resources.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash for automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Splunk for log management, dashboard creation, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Database experience with MS SQL and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3-7 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles.
