We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SAP S/4HANA Test Manager to oversee high-impact projects to contribute to mission-critical programmes. This role ensures that all SAP components function correctly and meet business requirements, with a strong focus on quality assurance and defect management.

You’ll work closely with functional consultants across various SAP workstreams, ensuring robust testing and system validation. You may be required to work on a portfolio of projects or a single multi-discipline managed service (e.g., covering QA, technical integration and data validation across an SAP landscape).

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

  • Lead end-to-end test strategy, planning, governance, scheduling and delivery for complex SAP S/4HANA projects, programmes or portfolios.
  • Define and enforce testing standards, frameworks, controls and assurance aligned with business objectives, timelines and organisational policy.
  • Oversee testing across SAP S/4HANA modules and workstreams, including FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM and PM, plus third-party integrations.
  • Coordinate functional consultants, technical teams, suppliers and partners, providing clear leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Oversee SAP test scripts for end-to-end business scenarios, ensuring traceability from requirements and Epics/User Stories to test cases and results.
  • Lead defects from identification and prioritisation to resolution using JIRA, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM or Azure DevOps.
  • Own test risk and RAID management across SAP delivery.
  • Define and monitor quality metrics, controls and reporting to support decisions, compliance and senior stakeholder assurance.
  • Maintain test strategies, plans, schedules, governance artefacts, status reports and executive dashboards.
  • Apply AI appropriately to improve SAP test management, delivery and solutions.

Essential Skills:

  • Hands-on SAP S/4HANA testing across core modules such as PP, MM, QM, WM, FI or CO, including SAP Fiori.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex SAP testing challenges.
  • Strong customer focus, anticipating needs and translating them into sustainable value.

Useful Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Tricentis Tosca for SAP test automation.
  • Experience supporting SAP R/3 or ECC migrations to SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience testing SAP–Salesforce integrations.
  • Knowledge of ETL and ELT pipeline testing in integrated SAP landscapes.
  • Foundational SAP BASIS administration and ABAP development knowledge.
  • Familiarity with SAP GUI for testing.

How to prepare for a job interview at Capgemini

✨Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

✨Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Capgemini uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

✨Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

✨Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
