YOUR ROLE
Our Cloud Engineering Consultants sit within Digital Excellence, part of the Business Technology practice in Capgemini Invent, which leads digital transformation projects across Capgemini. We are a new and dynamic community that values innovation, professional development, and the ability to make a real difference for our clients. We work in diverse multiâdisciplinary teams, handâinâglove with our clients. As one of our Cloud Engineers, you will design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure. You will develop automated build and deployment pipelines, implement monitoring and alerting solutions, troubleshoot production issues, ensure security and compliance, and optimise infrastructure. You will be using a variety of technologies such as Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes and have exposure to public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
As part of your role you will:
- Be a senior or lead engineer
- Work with the architect and the crossâdiscipline development teams to implement the relevant CI/CD automation for the team's needs.
- Be responsible for the infrastructure provisioning, configuration, build, deployment and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code.
- Work with clients and internal teams to develop new opportunities and create a DevOps culture.
- Provide operational support including application monitoring and troubleshooting
- Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability
- Share your knowledge and experience with colleagues as you coach them and mentor them, helping the team to grow their skills, as well as developing your own skills by experimenting with and learning new technologies
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Leadership â People/line manager, stakeholder management and communication, recruitment, etc.
- Business Development â Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.

YOUR PROFILE
To be considered for this position you must hold active SC (Security Check) Clearance, or be eligible to gain this level of clearance. You will also have:
- 5+ years experience working with multiple cloud technologies and services â seeking strong experience with Azure, GCP and/or OCI. Exemplar AWS CVs will be considered.
- Proven experience in DevOps processes and best practices
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines â GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins etc
- Extensive experience with containerisation, virtualisation, and orchestration technologies â Docker, Kubernetes etc
- Extensive experience using Infrastructure as Code for configuration management and code implementation â Terraform etc.
- Experience setting up and using monitoring and alerting tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Cloudwatch etc.
- Experience using Configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Packer, Chef.
- Experience with various testing tooling â Selenium, Cucumber etc
- Experience in scripting â bash/shell
- Ability to be flexible and support the development, deployment, and pipelines of a variety of technologies â such as Java Spring Boot microservices, NodeJS frontend services, SQL/NoSQL databases and a variety of cloud components.
- Experience using version control software â Git
- Experience using online version control tools â GitHub, GitLab etc
- Experience working in an agile team environment
- Ability to converse with both internal and external stakeholders, always holding the appropriate level of conversation
- Strong soft skills key to consulting: time and risk management, problem solving, leading with empathy
