Your role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our IT and Change team. Our team has a great track record of delivering positive business outcomes for our customers through agile delivery with Product Teams and also in larger scale change programmes. You’ll therefore need to have the right mix of experience using agile and other change methodologies to help drive our transformation journey. As a Senior Business Analyst in our Finance Product Team you’ll work closely with the Product Owner to bring to life the priorities and outcomes the wider team need to deliver modelling those in a roadmap which clearly sets out the future sprint targets. Together with the team suppliers and the wider Europe team you’ll help to drive out positive outcomes for the Finance line of business.

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for enabling business change through:

  • Using analytical skills and experience to review and improve Finance business operations processes and systems including the role and utilisation of data across each of these areas.
  • Leading or participating in testing documentation and implementation of business solutions.
  • Providing technical industry expertise and guidance on business solutions opportunities.
  • Evaluating and developing business strategies and models to improve efficiency, productivity or profitability of Finance operations.

Your skills and experience

  • Working with the Product Owner or delivery led to successfully deliver change that meets business needs on time and within budget.
  • Managing stakeholders to identify business need and translating into change items for delivery.
  • Ensure that target solutions meet legal regulatory compliance and contractual obligations and deliver aligned business benefits.
  • Ensuring business analysis artefacts are produced to a level of quality that meets audit requirements and traceability from Solution Architecture designs through to testing outputs.
  • Utilise analytical tools and techniques to undertake business and data analysis with a forensic level of attention to detail.
  • Provides support for wider BA community to help solve problems.
  • Provides leadership within IT Change function to champion best practices and standards and ensures that projects adhere to them providing feedback on enhancements.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Life Insurance industry including the governing regulatory framework.
  • Experience of working with Finance Teams on Transformation regulatory deliveries.
  • You will have been involved in automation of Finance data sets or data driven projects within Finance.
  • Useful to have knowledge of some of the technology Azure, SAP, Prophet, Blackline, Databricks but not essential.
  • Experience of Project Delivery methodologies including Agile Framework, Scrum, Waterfall and Lean Engineering.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions.
