The Business Analyst leads end‑to‑end business requirements, operational design, and delivery of change initiatives within the acquiring and payment card domain. The role focuses on delivering pragmatic, customer‑centric solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

  • Business Analysis & Delivery
    • Lead the full requirements lifecycle—from inception to implementation and transition to BAU.
    • Produce clear business requirements and design solutions that maximize benefits.
    • Develop new business processes, systems, and product enhancements.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean).
    • Ensure internal controls safeguard customer experience and service quality.
    • Track delivery against time, cost, and quality expectations.
    • Ensure compliance with internal/external regulations and risk frameworks.
    • Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and product enhancements.
    • Monitor supplier SLAs and operational performance.
  • Stakeholder Leadership
    • Act as lead BA across multiple concurrent projects, often in a matrix structure.
    • Provide guidance, direction, and thought leadership to BA colleagues.
    • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and third‑party partners.
    • Work closely with IT, project teams, and business users to translate requirements.
    • Communicate requirements, change requests, and test results clearly.
    • Promote strong collaboration across business and technical teams.
  • Decision‑Making & Problem Solving
    • Analyse existing systems and processes to identify optimal solutions.
    • Resolve operational issues by identifying root causes and implementing fixes.
    • Design and peer‑review future‑state (to‑be) business processes.
    • Support and lead Business/User Acceptance Testing.
    • Maintain end‑to‑end requirements traceability.
    • Operate effectively in conditions of ambiguity and change.
  • Risk & Control
    • Ensure full compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and policies.
    • Track and manage risks, controls, and incidents, ensuring documentation and root‑cause resolution.
    • Complete all mandatory training and maintain strong governance throughout projects.

Your Profile

  • Essential Skills
    • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in payments, card processing, or acquiring.
    • Strong understanding of products, platforms, and business processes in payments.
    • Skilled in stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation.
    • Strong commercial, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a matrix structure.
    • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable Skills
    • Knowledge of project management frameworks, governance, and regulatory standards.
    • Experience with Agile/Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban.
    • Experience leading teams of Business Analysts across IT and business functions.
