As part of our continued investment in building world-class engineering capabilities, we are seeking a Director, I&D Engineering Transformation & Programs to lead a strategic, multi-country Capability Build programme across the UK, France, and India.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving large-scale business transformation and organizational change across the Insights & Data business.
Working with senior Capgemini executives, business leaders, HR, Finance, Commercial, Sales, and external strategic partners, you will be accountable for defining and executing the roadmap that strengthens our engineering capabilities, accelerates growth, and supports our AI and Data ambitions.
The successful candidate will combine executive stakeholder management, programme leadership, operational excellence, and change management expertise to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable business impact across multiple geographies.
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role
As a
Director, you will act as the executive programme lead for a complex, multi-country transformation initiative designed to enhance Capgemini's engineering capability, talent strategy, operational effectiveness, and market competitiveness.
You will partner with senior leaders across the organization and external stakeholders to define strategic priorities, drive execution, and ensure successful realization of business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include
- Own the end-to-end delivery of a strategic Capability Build programme spanning multiple countries, business units, and stakeholder groups.
- Develop and execute the transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with Capgemini's Insights & Data growth strategy and engineering objectives.
- Lead a cross-functional programme involving HR, Finance, Commercial, Legal, Operations, Sales, Delivery, and Business Leadership teams.
- Translate strategic business objectives into executable workstreams, milestones, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
- Establish and maintain programme governance frameworks, steering committees, executive reporting, and decision-making processes.
- Serve as the primary interface between Capgemini executives, business leaders, account teams, and strategic technology partners.
- Drive organizational change management activities, ensuring stakeholder engagement, adoption, and successful implementation of programme outcomes.
- Build and manage integrated programme plans, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and resource requirements across multiple workstreams.
- Lead executive-level communications, including board updates, steering committee materials, business cases, and investment recommendations.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions, prioritization, and issue resolution.
- Manage programme financials, including budget oversight, forecasting, cost management, resource planning, utilization tracking, and investment governance.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate programme risks while ensuring delivery momentum is maintained.
- Establish KPI frameworks and performance dashboards to measure programme success and business impact.
- Drive collaboration across international teams to deliver outcomes consistently and at scale.
- Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across programme delivery and transformation activities.
- Support the growth of Capgemini's AI, Data, and Engineering capabilities through strategic workforce and capability-building initiatives.

Required Experience
- Significant experience leading large-scale business transformation, organizational change, or strategic programme initiatives within complex global organizations.
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise-wide programmes involving multiple business functions, geographies, and stakeholder groups.
- Strong experience operating at executive and board level, including presenting business cases and influencing strategic decisions.
- Exceptional programme and portfolio management expertise, including governance, scope management, budgeting, risk management, and resource planning.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience managing external partners, strategic alliances, and commercial relationships.
- Strong commercial and operational acumen with experience managing programme budgets and financial performance.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing business environments while maintaining delivery focus.
