We are looking forward to developing a hybrid aerospace and telecom infrastructure using a range of tools and technologies that fall outside the scope of standard Information Management support - spanning from legacy systems to cutting-edge platforms and unsupported operating systems or software. This evolving landscape is creating a growing need to manage projects that either transition to modern tooling (for breadboarding) or maintain legacy systems essential to long-duration aerospace programs, where long-term stability is critical.
- Infrastructure Support Across Teams: Provide technical support for both GNC and software teams, maintaining and enhancing systems, especially legacy platforms requiring deep understanding before changes.
- Flexible Location with Travel: While regular on-site presence isn’t required, expect periods of intensive support both locally and internationally.
- Automation & Deployment: Use Ansible to manage tasks like package installation, environment setup, and building internal projects across diverse hosts and containers.
- Diverse Host Environments: Work with varied systems including industrial PCs (some field-deployed with limited connectivity) and uniform telecom VMs, balancing consistency with unique hardware constraints.
Your Profile
- Version Control & CI/CD: Git for version control; GitLab CI for linting, testing, and deploying Ansible scripts and C/C++ packages (with potential expansion to Python, React, Rust, ROS2).
- Flight Software Validation: Jenkins CI with Gradle used for executing validation tests on flight software.
- System Configuration & Deployment: Ansible for configuration control; Autoinstall (or similar tools) for system deployment.
- Operating Systems & Containers: Primarily Ubuntu 20+ or Debian-based OS; Podman for containerisation with support for hardware passthrough (e.g. Nvidia K2000 on RHEL 6) and emulation via QEMU.
- Development & Hosting Environments: Containers used both for development and service hosting, tailored to support graphical applications and legacy hardware/software setups.
