Your role involves joining a growing team of experts working on high-profile projects within the defence sector. You will use creative problem-solving skills to formulate, develop and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • An investigative mindset to efficiently navigate engineering systems and absorb the engineering material.
  • Able to perform maturity reviews of ECRs and corresponding ECNs associated with each system, assessing the corresponding work and implementing changes to the various engineering artefacts to close the ECRs and raise the maturity of the system to the next level.
  • Types of information for each system can consist of but is not limited to BOMs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, safety artefacts, qualification plans, test specifications, interface specifications, software designs.

Your profile:

  • Technical/Engineering Skills: Ability to provide insights on potential process improvements, systems integration understanding, data management, engineering workflow understanding, product lifecycle management (PLM) tools knowledge (Teamcenter) is beneficial but not compulsory.
  • Consulting Skills: Client relationship management, cross-functional communication, stakeholder engagement and alignment, consulting methodology proficiency.
  • Integrated/Crossover Skills: Technical consulting approach, knowledge and experience working across the Engineering lifecycle.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Defence sector engineering, aerospace, high-technology product development.

  • This is a hybrid role requiring travel to Barrow-in-Furness every 3 days fortnight. All travel costs will be covered.
