As a Cloud DevOps Engineer in our Cloud & Custom Applications practice, you will work on mission-critical systems that require high availability, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for building, automating, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security standards.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your role:
- Design, build, and manage AWS environments with a focus on automation, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous integration and continuous deployment for mission-critical applications.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing observability best practices.
- Work in an Agile environment, engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver iterative improvements.
Your skills and experience:
- Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS in secure environments.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups.
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and best practices for securing cloud workloads.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize cloud deployments.
Your security clearance:
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. To obtain DV clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 10 years, along with other very detailed criteria and requirements.
