Overview: The Chargeback SME/Architect is responsible for designing and developing solutions to manage chargeback disputes within the bank's systems. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of chargeback regulations, dispute resolution processes, and fraud prevention, along with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with various stakeholders.

About The Role:

  • Understanding of Regulations: Possess in-depth understanding of chargeback regulations, dispute codes, and processes for both card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
  • Analytical Skills: Analyze chargebacks, identify trends, and develop strategies to minimize future occurrences.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Develop systems and processes for handling chargeback disputes, including data analysis, risk assessment, and workflow automation. Utilize programming languages (e.g., Java), databases, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) to build scalable and secure solutions.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, security standards, and internal governance processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business teams, technical teams, and vendors to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to resolve chargeback disputes.
