The Business Design Analyst will play a critical role in shaping and documenting business architecture for large-scale transformation programs. The role involves analysing business processes, designing target operating models, and creating architecture artifacts using ArchiMate standards. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology domains to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role
- Business Architecture & Design: Develop and maintain business architecture models using ArchiMate notation. Define and document current state (As-Is) and future state (To-Be) business processes, capabilities, and value streams. Support creation of Target Operating Models (TOM) and transition roadmaps.
- Analysis & Documentation: Conduct gap analysis between current and target states. Prepare detailed business design documents, capability maps, and process flows. Ensure traceability between business requirements and architecture deliverables.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business SMEs, solution architects, and technology teams. Facilitate workshops to capture requirements and validate design artifacts. Communicate complex architecture concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and frameworks. Support governance processes for design approvals and change management. Align designs with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Your Skills
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ArchiMate modelling language and tools (e.g., Bizz design, Sparx EA). Knowledge of TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks. Familiarity with BPMN for process modelling.
- Business Skills: Experience in business architecture, capability modelling, and operating model design. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate business needs into structured architecture artifacts.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Strong documentation and presentation skills.
