About the job you’re considering:
The ServiceNow Platform Developer is a technical and hands-on configuration role within Digital Customer Experience’s (DCX) Business Technology practice in the UK. This role focuses on building and deployment of ServiceNow solutions to enhance Customer Experience, Technology Experience, and Employee Experience. You will work under the guidance of senior consultants and architects to contribute to the development of workflow applications, integrations, and user experiences that drive operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Developing solutions for Customer Experience, Technology Experience and Employee Experience ServiceNow workflow applications, including HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Customer Service Portal, IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), Java Script/Angular, Now Assist, Gen-AI and Workflow Data Fabric.
- Utilising ServiceNow’s Experience Layer components to build modern, intuitive user interfaces.
- Using UI Builder and Service Portal to deliver role-based dashboards and customised workflows that meet client-specific requirements.
- Understanding customer journey mapping and what drives excellent experiences in marketing, sales, and commerce, including personalization, omnichannel engagement, and seamless transaction processes.
- Leverage ServiceNow solutions to enable proactive support, real-time analytics, and integrated workflows that meet evolving customer demand.
- Work closely with senior team members and cross-functional stakeholders (IT, HR, Customer Service).

Your skills and experience:
- Proven experience with the ServiceNow platform, focusing on Customer Experience, Technology Experience, and Employee Experience workflows.
- Good understanding of customer journey optimisation, including touchpoints in marketing, sales, and commerce.
- Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle touchpoints, such as onboarding, daily productivity, and career development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow-specific tools like Glide API, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
- Expertise in integrating ServiceNow with external systems to create end-to-end workflows.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes and work effectively with diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver innovative solutions.
