Capgemini are recruiting highly skilled Lead and Senior Front End Engineers to join their dynamic team, delivering solutions for a major public sector client. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful projects that impact millions of people, in an environment that values innovation and collaboration. Our Senior Engineers focus on delivering critical digital services from cradle to grave working on a variety of user‑centric projects for wide reaching Public Services.
Hybrid working: Your working location will vary depending on your role, personal needs, and business requirements. This will typically include a mix of company offices, client sites, and remote work from home. If your location is Telford or Worthing (please note the Worthing office will relocate to Brighton & Hove in the second half of 2026) you will be expected to work from the office between 40% and 70% of the time. For all other locations you need to be prepared to come into the Telford or Worthing office once to twice a month (Lead engineers more frequently). As we align closely with customer requirements which may change over time, you will need to remain flexible. Please note that fully remote working (100% from home) is not permitted.
Your role: Primary focus is to deliver user stories as part of a multi‑disciplined team. Contribute to design sessions with key stakeholders. Build, deploy, and support services using established software development techniques such as TDD, BDD, and pair programming. Supporting with all stages of service delivery including testing, configuring, deploying, supporting, and monitoring using industry standard tooling. Foster a culture of excellence through effective performance management—actively mentor junior engineers and support their wellbeing, professional growth, and development.

Your skills and experience:
- Experience of designing and building UIs and rich applications in frameworks such as Angular and / or React
- Strong HTML, JavaScript, Typescript and CSS skills
- Understand web security models such as OAuth2.0 and JWT
- Accessible UI design skills
- Familiarity with technology such as Node.JS and NPM
- Skills in integration with RESTful APIs
- Collaboration experience with other engineers using GIT
