The CCM / Export SME is responsible for ensuring the delivery and commercial risks are understood with specific responsibility for assessment and management of export compliance. The role provides expert input to bids and delivery on export risks, export licensing requirements and compliance management. The SME will manage all ERD UK licences and be accountable for reporting and audit against these licences. The post holder will also provide general commercial guidance to bids and delivered projects on broader contractual issues and commercial risks resulting from framework terms and provide guidance on developing SoWs.

Your role:

  • Global trade governance: Support Global Trade activities across ERD UK and provide expert guidance on compliance with UK export and import controls and applicable US EAR and ITAR requirements.
  • Classification and risk assessment: Support the export classification of contract deliverables and identify export-control risks throughout the bid, contracting and delivery lifecycle.
  • Compliance planning: Manage the creation, implementation, maintenance, approval and continual improvement of Export and Technology Compliance Plans across the business.
  • Licensing and authorisations: Prepare and commercially manage export licences and supporting documentation; manage UK licences and US sub-licensing agreements; and ensure activities, deliveries, records and reports meet all applicable authorisation requirements.

Your profile:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in roles involving export control / compliance.
  • Experience managing risks and compliance programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience engaging with senior stakeholders and customer leadership teams.
  • Experience supporting bids and service delivery lifecycle activities.
  • Experience in large-scale IT services, engineering services or managed service environments is desirable.
