Your Role
As a DevEx consultant at Capgemini Invent you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the wider Business Technology capability unit. We are seeking Developer Experience Consultants and Senior Consultants who can lead initiatives that improve developer workflows and productivity. You'll combine technical expertise with developer advocacy, applying best practices in tooling, automation, and process optimization. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying pain points and implementing solutions.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Lead efforts to streamline developer workflows, reduce friction, and improve overall experience.
- Apply Lean principles and Value Stream Mapping to optimize processes and eliminate waste.
- Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation with a developer-first mindset.
- Support onboarding processes to create frictionless environments for developers, ensuring smooth setup and minimal delays.
- Drive implementation of developer productivity tools such as IDEs, code repositories, build systems, and artifact management solutions.
- Define and track developer experience metrics (DORA, SPACE) and use insights to drive improvements.
- Introduce and integrate AI-powered tools for code assistance, automated testing, and intelligent workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to deliver cohesive solutions that prioritize developer needs.
Key expectations from this role include:
- As a Consultant: lead a stream of work and produce high quality deliverables, providing key input to shape the strategic direction and support the design of propositions.
- As a Senior Consultant: design and lead projects / multiple streams taking ownership for elements of the proposition.
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development â Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.

Your Profile
You're a strategic thinker and handsâon problem solver who excels at bridging business and technology. You thrive in client-facing environments and have a combination of the following:
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and developer tooling ecosystems, common developer tools and version control systems.
- Experience in developer onboarding and enablement programs, ensuring smooth and efficient setup.
- Familiarity with developer experience metrics and ability to act on insights for measurable improvements.
- Exposure to AI tools for DevEx and emerging trends in developer productivity.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence engineering culture and advocate for developer needs.
- Ability to work independently on small projects and contribute to larger transformation programs.
