YOUR ROLE

Join our fast-growing & collaborative Data-Driven Finance, Risk & Compliance (DFRC) team and shape the future of risk and finance! In this role you will have the opportunity to demonstrate the following:

  • Data Product Vision and Development: Define, develop, and maintain a clear data product vision that aligns with client objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Delivering Business Value: Drive new product functionalities and features in line with market value. Create and update comprehensive product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps, to ensure clarity and consistency across teams and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and facilitate discussions to ensure alignment on product goals. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to aid understanding of product vision.
  • Governance and Compliance Alignment: Ensure that product development adheres to industry regulations, data quality standards, and data governance policies.
  • Delivery Oversight: Work closely with data engineers, data analysts and developers to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Value Measurement: Define KPIs and success metrics for data products and monitor performance post-launch.

While this role requires expertise in Data Product Ownership, we are looking for versatile team members, capable of successfully executing a diverse array of data-driven projects. This includes expertise in agile delivery, requirements gathering, data analysis, stakeholder management, governance, and compliance.

As part of your role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development: Supporting and/or leading on proposals, RFPs, bids, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution: Proposition development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities) etc.
  • Learning & Development: Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, including leadership and technology certifications etc.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise, consultancy experience, and leadership skills to excel in this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate most or all of the following:

  • Professional Experience: Current experience in a consulting firm and/or a Financial Services background (minimum 2/4 years of experience, depending on grade) with evidence of effective stakeholder management to address business challenges. Experience in delivering/managing a data product within an agile/SAFe framework. Experience working across various stages of end-to-end product development, including technology implementation and large-scale deployments, and maintaining awareness of the latest tools & technologies to create innovative solutions.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts, effectively communicate outcomes, and tell compelling stories that resonate with audiences with varying technological awareness and at all levels of seniority.
  • Experience leading a team of developers/engineers and managing technical and non-technical stakeholders across the client organisation.

  • Technical and Analytical Skills: Extensive experience and strong understanding of product management principles, user story creation, and key product management tools such as JIRA. Familiarity with SQL and coding languages like Python is a plus. Strong understanding of governance principles, and the ability to track and leverage success metrics like KPIs or OKR’s. Strong understanding of data modelling and ETL processes. Familiarity with project governance tools/techniques for product delivery (e.g., user stories, backlog management, feature prioritisation). Practical experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe frameworks. Strong storytelling and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical and non-technical concepts to a wide variety of audiences. Experience with harnessing data to enhance user experience.
  • For candidates applying for the Senior Consultant role, we additionally require: Certified as a product owner/scrum master/SAFe practitioner. Evidence of driving data product strategy. Understanding of data product architecture. Demonstrated experience in people management or workstream management. Experience supporting and participating in the commercial cycle, including defining project scope and agreeing on budgets.
