Role Title: PostgreSQL DBA
Location: Manchester, UK
Work setup: 2 days onsite/week
Role description:
Maintenance & Optimization: Perform regular database maintenance activities and optimize database resources to ensure stability and efficiency.
- Observability & Reporting: Monitor database health, availability, and capacity, and provide regular operational and performance reports.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Manage and validate disaster recovery and high availability solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Backup & Restore: Configure, monitor, and periodically test database backup and restore processes to ensure data recoverability and Application team requirement
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and tune database performance to improve query execution, resource utilization, and application responsiveness.
- Development & Incident Support: Provide database support for development activities and assist in troubleshooting and resolving production incidents.
- Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify potential database issues proactively and implement corrective actions before they impact business operations.
- Schema & Database Management: Manage database schemas, objects, and changes while ensuring adherence to governance standards.
- Database Security Architecture: Implement and maintain database security controls, access management, and compliance requirements to protect organizational data recommendation from Bank Security team.
