Role Title: Platform Engineer
Location: London, UK
Days on site: 2-3 days a week
Role Description:
Container platform engineering (OpenShift/AWS) - create containers/images, deploy and operate app (API/UI), Helm charts, ideally familiar with security and design constraints, routes, load balancers
- Connectivity (on-prem ?=> external, e.g. AWS), validate the paths for AWS-hosted models (SageMaker/Athena), send results to API via Tyk gateway, own the endpoint, authentication and network specification
- Strong Python devops, FastAPI, REST, CI/CD, IaaS, CaaS, build Git pipelines, Terraform/Helm-based deployments
- Database & secrets provisioning, support PostgreSQL, DB migration automation, HashiCorp Vault
- Model Risk Management domain knowledge (basics at least) across Finance & Treasury
- Dev Lead role would require work with wider project team (data contracts/sources, monitoring) and externally (prod support, AWS tech, Security & Testing etc.)
- PRA regulatory knowledge (SS1/23)
- Ready hands-on experience (no time to learn, experience required)
