Role Purpose
Company is embarking on a transformation journey towards becoming an AI-native insurance organization. This role will provide the strategic and technical leadership required to bridge the gap between traditional enterprise data platforms and the emerging world of AI, Agentic Systems, and Intelligent Underwriting.
The AI Lead will work closely with the CDO, CIO, Data Engineering, Architecture, and Underwriting teams to define and execute the roadmap for AI-ready data foundations, knowledge platforms, agent orchestration, and real-time data accessibility. The role combines expertise in Data, AI, Technology Strategy, and Insurance domain knowledge to enable the next generation of underwriting and operational AI capabilities.
This is a highly influential and hands-on role requiring someone who can shape the vision, define the target architecture, and guide delivery teams through practical implementation.

Key Responsibilities
AI & Data Strategy
• Define and drive the organization's roadmap toward AI-native operations.
• Develop the target-state architecture for AI-enabled underwriting, claims, and insurance operations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CDO on AI-related strategy, investments, and transformation priorities.
• Establish a roadmap covering immediate, medium-term, and future AI capabilities.
Agentic AI Foundations
• Design the foundational capabilities required for Agentic AI adoption.
• Define how enterprise systems and business capabilities are exposed as reusable AI tools and services.
Data as a Product
• Champion a "Data as a Product" operating model.
• Help define AI-ready data products that serve:
o Underwriting
o Claims
o Pricing
o Actuarial
o Operational decision making
• Ensure data products are discoverable, reusable, governed, and consumable by AI services and agents.
• Drive a shift from analytics-only thinking toward operational and decision-support use cases.
AI-Ready Data Platform Architecture
• Assess current Databricks and Enterprise Data Platform capabilities.
• Define enhancements required to support AI workloads.
• Design operational data zones supporting:
o Real-time and near real-time data access
o Transactional AI workloads
o Agent consumption patterns
• Develop approaches for exposing enterprise data through APIs, services, semantic layers, and AI-enabled interfaces.
Knowledge & Context Management
• Define enterprise approaches for managing unstructured knowledge including:
o Underwriting guidelines
o Risk appetite rules
o Clause libraries
o Product catalogues
o Policy and compliance documentation
• Lead design of enterprise knowledge graphs and semantic knowledge layers.
• Ensure AI solutions can access trusted and governed contextual information at scale
