Role Description:
Essential Skills
• Strong experience in Java development, including Java 21-25, modern Java features, and object-oriented design principles.
Experience developing and maintaining applications using Spring Boot 4.x, REST APls, and microservices architectures.
Good technical and analytical skills, with the ability to understand existing systems, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions.
A proactive approach to learning new technologies and adopting modern software development practices.
Highly Valued Skills
• Experience developing enterprise applications using GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Maven/Gradle, automated testing, and source control best practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application deployment.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, Kafka, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of modern web technologies including React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience within the Financial Services sector.
• Familiarity with Al-assisted development tools such as GitLab Duo, Claude, and similar developer productivity platforms.
