Your role involves focusing on RF and payload system performance analysis. You will be involved in:
- Analysis of payload system architecture and end-to-end telecom systems, performing performance trade-offs at equipment level and at payload level, complete with preparation of analysis, review and compilation of written reports and presentations for our customers.
- Supporting the payload test campaigns and the analysis of test results, working hand-in-hand with the Assembly, Integration and Test operations team in a clean room environment.
- Extensive use of modelling tools such as Matlab and Python for in-house developed analysis modelling, Keysight and Microsoft Office and Gsuite for presentation of technical information to the customer and customer reviews.
- Learning cutting-edge satellite and payload technologies, telecommunication satellite missions, and key performance parameters—such as G/T and EIRP—to support ongoing and future satellite projects, proposals, and studies.
Your profile includes:
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent within Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or Communications, Satellite Systems Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation.
- Ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
- Experience with modelling software used for end-to-end RF communication chains, e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, SystemVue, etc.
- Proficiency with programming languages (e.g. Python, MATLAB, Octave, Visual Basic).
- Solid theoretical background on digital communications and proven ability to apply the theory to solve practical problems.
- Specific experience, understanding or interest in Systems Engineering, Microwave / RF Engineering or other wireless technology.
- Knowledge of RF equipment, equipment performances, test equipment and test techniques.
- Understanding of RF Systems, Antenna Systems, Satellite Communication Systems and Software Defined Radio / Digital Signal Processing.
- Familiarity with RF communication signal design techniques (e.g. modulation, encoding, filtering).
