The role is related to local support of CAD engineering tools (AVEVA ENGINEERING, E3D & DRAW, and DIAGRAMS). The CAD Support Engineer/CAD Administrator will be responsible for file and script management and configuration of the CAD resources as part of the role tasks.
Support the engineering teams working with CAD applications by performing the following tasks and activities:
- Main User Support of AVEVA Engineering activities (bugs resolutions, training, modifications request, catalogue request ...)
- Coordination of CAD activities including new requests and resolution of CAD technical issues for a large number of CAD tools on behalf of the teams
- Definition, proposition, and follow-up of action plans and roadmaps
- Establishment of constant contact with other teams, the CAD teams in France, and the local IT technical support
- Development of PML macros and tools to deploy quick responses for engineering needs
- Delivery of training to end-users when necessary
REQUIRED CRITERIA:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- From 10 to 15 years of experience in the Energy industry required (Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore...)
- Strong experience as a CAD Administrator with AVEVA E3D
- Strong experience with coding (PowerShell, Python, PML), understanding of script language and web technologies
- Scope: project setup (user creation, database/spec creation, deliver training to CAD Designers, customisation/automation, help desk/trouble shooting)
- Right to work in the UK as a preference
- Willing to relocate to the South West or commutable distance to Bristol
