Your Role

  • Deliver structural engineering analysis, design, and assessment for reinforced concrete, steel, and civil infrastructure projects within the GBE‑N programme.
  • Produce and review structural calculations, models, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Support the development of design substantiation and technical documentation to meet project, regulatory, and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, process, construction, and safety teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
  • Undertake assessments for normal, construction, environmental, and extreme loading conditions, including seismic loading where required.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical assurance activities, and resolution of engineering queries.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, quality requirements, and CDM 2015 obligations.
  • Support continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of graduate and early-career engineers.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with progress toward Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong experience in structural design and analysis of reinforced concrete, steel, and civil infrastructure, particularly in coastal and marine environments.
  • Knowledge of UK/international design codes, complex structural loading scenarios, and engineering assurance, reporting, and design substantiation processes.
  • Skilled in using structural analysis software, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, and supporting projects in regulated industries such as infrastructure, energy, or nuclear sectors.
