Location: Bath

Hybrid: 2 days per week in office

Due to the nature of the projects you’ll be working on, you must be eligible for, or hold, SC Clearance and be a Sole British National.

We are seeking an Engagement Manager to join Capgemini Engineering. We are looking to attract experienced candidates with a proven history of providing effective project management in complex Defence Engineering environments.

Your Role:

Working from within our Global Programme Office (GPO), you will primarily work on delivering projects that will lead to the convergence of physical and digital worlds through technology, engineering and manufacturing expertise to boost our clients’ competitiveness.

Your skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering small engineering development projects in a leading/management role, from pre-sales, bidding, requirements definition through to delivery, optimisation, verification, validation and closure
  • Experience in Air, Land or Maritime, including the integration and assurance process
  • 2-5 years' experience in project and programme management more widely
  • Work package management and experience of leading small teams
  • Proficient with Project Finances, Revenue Recognition, Margin Improvement, Risk management and Month-end Reporting
  • Proven ability to plan and organise small projects effectively, with excellent attention to detail

Preferable:

  • Experience of delivering projects in the Defence Sector
  • Knowledge of MOD procurement process
  • Knowledge of delivery of complex software development projects
  • Experience of developing project schedules in Microsoft Project

Your Security Clearance:

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
