Your Role

Location: Bath

Hybrid: 2 days per week in office

Due to the nature of the projects you’ll be working on, you must be eligible for, or hold, SC Clearance and be a Sole British National.

Are you a driven leader with a track record of steering complex Defence Engineering projects to success? We\’re on the lookout for a results-oriented Engagement Manager who thrives in high-stakes environments—someone who can lead from the front, manage end-to-end project delivery, and build lasting client relationships in the Defence sector.

Working from within our Global Programme Office (GPO), you will primarily work on delivering projects that will lead to the convergence of physical and digital worlds through technology, engineering and manufacturing expertise to boost our clients’ competitiveness.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Project and Financial Management: Skilled in project planning, forecasting, revenue management, profitability, and tracking/reporting to ensure financial health and delivery success.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Experienced in client liaison, satisfaction, and bid management, ensuring alignment with expectations and long-term relationships.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong background in quality control, continuous process improvement, and problem resolution to drive productivity and performance.
  • Resource and Risk Management: Proficient in resource allocation, risk management, and maintaining high standards across all phases of project execution.

Your Profile

Essential

  • Experience in Defence Engineering Development Projects from bid phase through to delivery, including requirements definition, design, manufacture, commissioning, and closure, with experience across the MOD Lifecycle Model.
  • 2–5 years of project and programme management experience, including work package ownership, small team leadership, and integration/assurance processes across Air, Land, or Maritime domains.
  • Proficient in project financials, including revenue recognition, margin improvement, risk management, and month-end reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver small engineering projects, with strong attention to detail and a track record of successful outcomes in Defence, particularly Maritime.
